MIPAS H2O in the SPARC data initiative

 

 

 

MIPAS compares well with other limb sounders providing stratospheric water vapour. This figure shows water vapour latitudinal cross-sections at 10 and 80 hPa. MIPAS(1) and MIPAS(2) refer to the high and reduced spectral resolution periods of MIPAS.

These climatological H2O intercomparisons were part of the activities of the SPARC data initiative, to which MIPAS contributed with climatologies of numerous trace gases.
