My main research interest is on the modelling of chemical and dynamical processes in the atmosphere. I started with the modelling of the transport of air pollutants in the planetary boundary layer and continued with the modelling of aerosol formation and growth processes and of trace gas distributions in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere. Since 2006 I investigate polar stratospheric cloud formation and occurrence, both with models and observations. My current project is on how changes in stratospheric water vapour and temperature can affect polar stratospheric cloud formation (PSCs) which play a key role in stratospheric ozone depletion.
