Tropospheric multiphase chemistry: Laboratory, modelling and field studies

Tuesday, 28 April 2015, 15:00-0:00
KIT Campus Nord, IMK
Gebäude 435, Raum 2.05
An overview on research regarding aqueous systems in the troposphere will be given, centered on, but not limited to the activities of the Atmospheric Chemistry Department (ACD) of TROPOS in this research field. Laboratory experiments for the study on reactive species relevant for aqueous bulk chemistry will be described. Here, radical as well as non-radical reactions are covered. Second, recent developments for the CAPRAM aqueous phase chemical mechanism will be described and discussed. Thirdly, the hill cap cloud experiment HCCT-2010 will be outlined and its main results presented. Finally, the development of the field including recent accounts will be discussed.
