CAWSES (Climate and Weather of the Sun-Earth-System) has been a Schwerpunktprogramm sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. The project duration is from 2005-2011. The contribution was about the impact of the solar variability on the upper stratosphere and mesosphere.
