Travel

By air:

The closest airports are Frankfurt (largest international airport in Germany), Stuttgart, Strasbourg (in France), and Baden airport.

  • Frankfurt is served by most international airlines.
  • Stuttgart is smaller than Frankfurt, but also an international airport.
  • Strasbourg is an international airport mainly on European level and might be a good choice for connections via Paris or other European cities.
  • Baden Airport is a local airport very close to Baden-Baden with European connections, and is served by e.g. Ryan Air, Air Berlin, and others.

Train connections from all airports (except Baden-Baden: this might also be a bus connection) are available here.

For your departing station enter your airport (e.g. Frankfurt Flughafen, Stuttgart Flughafen, Strasbourg aeroport, or FKB Baden airpark); for your destination enter Baden-Baden (for more information, check "By train"). You'll need to take the bus or a taxi from Baden-Baden train station to the city center (appr. 10 km).

Shuttle services to all/from major airports are also available. For more information, please contact the Baden-Baden tourism office (infoDvo7∂baden-baden com).

By train:

Baden-Baden is a stop for the German high speed trains (ICE) and all other trains. Check here for connections; enter your departing station (e.g. "Paris"), and "Baden-Baden" as your destination and follow instructions on the web site. You'll need to take the bus or a taxi from Baden-Baden train station to the city center (appr. 10 km).
